Pros
Years ago this company was a dream to work for. Every single person pulled their weight towards the collective goals. The attitude was get'r done. You either pick up a wrench and get to work or get out of the way. The ability to see your individual contributions directly pushing the program meant long hours and hard work were met with enthusiasm. Sadly this culture is long gone due to the sheer number of hoops that must be jumped through to compete even the simplest task. Regardless of the effort put forward, a mountain of needless bureaucracy ensures you'll be put in your place. I do genuinely believe everyone at the company wants it to succeed despite the frustrations.
Cons
In almost 10 years of a professional career I have never seen a company become so crippled by self imposed indecision, process, and procedure. I'm still not sure how a company with limitless funding and no shareholders has found a way to move slower than government agencies. If you are an engineer who likes to roll up your sleeves, dig in, and grind until a problem is solved I cannot in good faith recommend this company until a change in direction occurs.
