Pros

Good people, good support, good health benefits

Cons

The whole system is designed to get the CEO rich. You work off a draw you are continually trying to pay back. Turnover is very high!

We understand how challenging recruiting can be, and we really value your feedback. Creating a positive and rewarding environment for everyone on our team is crucial to us. When it comes to compensation, we're dedicated to offering one of the most competitive plans in the agency recruiting world, ensuring our team's success and well-being. The plan has been adjusted and increased based on all team members’ ask. We do offer multiple plans, so please be sure to ask your manager if you are on the best one for you. Recruiters with the desire to grow and build a team can take home up to 100% or even more as has happened on multiple occasions. We are also happy to report we are one of the rare firms in which the CEO still runs a full desk and the majority of his compensation is tied to his own performance. Our CEO is in the trenches every day and responsible for his own number making him relatable to all recruiters company-wide. Any firm profitability goes toward having the best tools, resources, recruiter support staff, and software in the industry. We are not aware of any other firm offering these types of resources, tools, and aggressive commission plans combined due to the uniqueness of our CEO running his own desk. As far as professional development plans, Blue Signal hosts weekly lunch and learns open to all employees; Leadership Training developed and presented by our CCO is offered on a monthly or semi-monthly basis, and our Growth Collective program with feedback illustrating how helpful the intensive one-to-one training and development structure was for recruiters struggling to ramp up or looking for more support in developing their desk potential. The operations team also provides extensive training on the numerous technology platforms Blue Signal offers. Please also note a very time-consuming Business Development and Account Management course spanning several days offers significant advantages to those looking to build upon their recruiting practice by making the most of account manager relationships, and stepping from recruiting into business development. We encourage you to take advantage of these resources, reach out to your manager about how to make the most of your desk potential, and schedule time with our CEO and/or CCO who both make themselves readily available to the entire company even on nights and weekends. Thank you for expressing your concerns and we hope you utilize these opportunities to your advantage. You are also welcome to reach out to the People & Culture team directly or via our anonymous suggestion link and quarterly Employee Satisfaction Surveys with constructive feedback on how we can continue to improve.

Pros

The owner truly does care about his employees, however moving from a small pond to a big pond is what he is most concerned with at the end of the day. This is quiet sad, especially when you saw the person and goals he had before trying to become the biggest Pinnacle member.

Cons

Not enough clients so you have to be a full desk recruiter which is great if you have experience. Account managers pick and choose who works their roles so you could be left with nothing on your desk or only working a non-fillable role. That leads to your DRAW which will just continue to grow even when you are working your butt off but not seeing a placement. Almost impossible to get ahead. Unlimited PTO but unable to use if you are behind which most everyone is, except for their "A players", which is the same 5 people in the company. Favoritism abounds.

Thank you so much for taking the time to review your experience with Blue Signal. We are sorry to know you left the company with concerns you felt were not addressed. Blue Signal strives for continuous improvement to back “Excellence” as one of our three core values. To be excellent, we request feedback from our team constantly. Concerns that employees bring to us are never ignored, and we are sorry you felt that your voice was not heard. We provide monthly employee satisfaction surveys, sporadic surveys on topics we want to gain more insight on from our team, and we provide an anonymous question/suggestion link for comments to go directly to your People & Culture team. As you’ve mentioned, our owner and CEO very much cares about his employees. Blue Signal cannot be successful without a strong team! Blue Signal is a unique recruiting atmosphere where recruiters can do more than work on other team members’ roles – recruiters have the opportunity to bring on their own clients and have other recruiters work on their job orders. We believe this model allows for the most flexibility and opportunity to succeed. Bringing in a book of business is certainly a great way to be successful quickly, but we are proud to have brand-new recruiters who have never worked in the industry before signing contracts and filling roles within their first few weeks and months in the job. Recruiting is tough, especially in a difficult economic climate, and so pushing harder than we’ve had to the past couple of years is something the whole team is experiencing right now. We thank you again for your feedback and wish you the absolute best in whatever you take on next. Thank you for your contributions during your time at Blue Signal.
