Pros

Don't get me wrong, there are good people who work there (or at least there used to be, but most of them have left) and there is the potential for good things to happen there but they keep getting in their own way.

Cons

Don't believe what you see on all the social media and all of the shiny, caring responses to negative reviews. BlueSprig is great at representing themselves in a very positive way but it absolutely does not trickle down to the people really doing the work. I truly believe that the people at the top of the chain believe they are doing well and think they are supporting staff, families, and "changing the lives of people with autism". In reality they are constantly changing processes, procedures, and expectations in a way that makes the lives of clinicians actually implementing the changes a living hell. They do not clearly communicate their expectations and do not provide the necessary supports to implement quality ABA. The actions of the corporate BlueSprig do not align with any of their values, even though they talk about their values with every chance they get. All of the pretty swag and social media posts do not make up for burning out BCBAs and RBTs so badly that they decide to leave the field. They have stopped doing performance review for clinical staff, have continually increased billable expectations for BCBAs, do not guarantee full time hours for RBTs, and the poor Operational Managers get no support or love from management.

Pros

The individual clinics do great ABA. They are ethical and provide necessary services for an underserved population.

Cons

The whole company is a con. They boast great work environment and taking care of employees, yet they don’t put it into practice. They conned all of their full-time employees into signing contracts for full-time positions but are now saying full-time hours are not guaranteed. Don’t expect to be able to make up hours lost due to cancellations, because BlueSprig doesn’t want to pay employees out of pocket. They do everything they can to save money when it comes to hourly employees, including paying interns less, but will go above and beyond to pay for logo merch for conferences, a cross-country road trip for the CEO, and full-clinic renovations. But if you ask to make up hours, they say there’s no money to pay you. There is also a cap on raises for how much hourly employees make. They definitely give off selfish corporate vibes even though they are a healthcare company.

We are glad to hear that you enjoyed working with the families as well as learning more about ABA therapy. We are so grateful to have the best BCBAs and RBTs and we appreciate their dedication to our clients as well as the demanding work they put in to change the world for children with autism. When cancelations occur, the center leadership can offer alternative hours, make-up sessions with a client, or hours at a neighboring center. To ensure that we are competitive in the pay arena, we regularly gather market data, however, we understand that feedback is always welcome. We value each employee equally, so we are sorry to hear about your experience. We will continue to find ways to make our processes more efficient so our employees can continue doing what they love! Thank you!
