Pros

I work at one of the smaller divisions of Bombardier. It provides a good position to get lots of different experience with the business.

Cons

Bombardier strategy for designing a new airplane or developing a large avionics change to an existing airplane is to partner with a vendor. Partner does most of design work. Company is very focused on cost and schedule. Engineering seems to be something to be outsourced.

Pros

The people are great - very helpful and encouraging. There is a strong commitment to continuing education. Seminars are frequently offered and you are encouraged to attend. On site EAP and medical office is a bonus.

Cons

Male dominated management, sometimes hostile to women. Past history of nepotism which has improved. Limited opportunity for advancement in Finance.
