Bon Secours was great, until Mercy took over

Pros

When it was Bon Secours, great pay, valued employees, respected them. I got paid great.

Cons

When Mercy joined they started laying off valuable employees that has been there for years and hiring people they can pay for pennies, cheap labor.

At the Fairfield location everyone feels like family. There is no hesitation from senior nurses to teach the newer staff. The staff are very dedicated to patient wellbeing. Management genuinely care about staff and coach with positivity.

Cons

Pay could be better. Through my entire career people I graduated with make a higher hourly wage. I understand that this is not really my managers fault but more the scale on which the system uses.
