Great Place to Get Experience
Pros
-Diverse Age Ranges -Diverse Nationalities -Offers on the job training with no prior experience -Clean, bright, sterile environment -Decent benefits offered -Tuition reimbursement offered -Pretty nice cafeteria with interesting rotating options available and "made fresh to order" food available for DAYSHIFT ONLY. There is a "convenience store" of sorts that offers prepackaged and frozen food for Night Shift though. -Fairly large laboratory that feels open and airy
Cons
There definitely is a clique of people on dayshift who all have the favor of the bosses. If you become one of their friends you'll be able to get job promotions and recognition easily. If you're not one of their friends or on a different shift there is a strong possibility you will rarely see recognition for the fires you put out. The training you recieve at the beginning varies greatly depending on whoever happens to be working that day. Some of your fellow employees (the people who will be training you) have a great wealth of knowledge and will give reliable training.... others you can tell have been coasting by with doing the bare minimum for years and dont remember why things operate the way that they do. If you have experience in the field or really paid attention in MLT/MLS school you will be fine, but others who are rusty may need to brush up on their own time.
