Pros

They offer health insurance, PTO, and short term disability (as most companies do)

Cons

Awful management (extremely cliquey) only worry about their positions and making themselves look good for higher ups. They do NOT try to help nurses find new positions within the company if positions are being eliminated (I have my BSN and interviewed internally for 2 separate positions and never heard back. I had to call to follow up and then was told they chose someone else). The pay is low/average. The non-manager/staff nurses (and other worker bees) are a huge part of what keep these places open and going…yet BSMH leadership seems to ignore this and also does NOT seem to be afraid to axe staff nurses. There are WAYYY too many supervisors/managers and not enough regular staff nurses, it makes zero sense. Supervisors/managers hardly do anything so what is their purpose? Maybe leadership should start auditing the supervisors Outlook schedules. You may find you could save some money on your budget by cutting out some of your supervisors and hiring more staff nurses. Population Health supervisors especially. This place is just way too top heavy.
