Pros
I've worked in healthcare for over fifteen years. Most healthcare is centered on profit. Bon Secours is centered on help, as the name says. No workplace is perfect, but I must admit, after years of working for corporations which chase the dollar, it's pleasant to work for a corporation that puts help for others first--without concern for profit in the long run. The benefits are good. The working environment is great. The management is always striving to be better. Communication is great. They like to hire from within, so there are ample opportunities to find your fit. I like working for a non-profit healthcare organization.
Cons
My commute could be better, but they're not responsible for that. The health insurance has deteriorated, but that is in keeping with healthcare in general. When I first began working for healthcare, insurance covered almost everything. Not so these days. Bon Secours is a non-profit, so the trim has to come from somewhere.
