Pros

Still the best IPaas product on the market. Lots of great people remain at Boomi that are trying as best as they can to suffer through the current climate. The CEO intends to invest more in the product, but that will be tough to do since we won't hit our sales numbers.

Cons

The private equity monster is alive and well and our current ELT is eating the company and its employees for breakfast. Our new leadership (CEO, CFO, CRO) are foxes wrapped in sheep's clothing and they are inept. The total lack of communication and change management logic, whiplash shifts in policy and restructuring with no structure/process or insights into the downstream impacts of constant change has destroyed morale to the max. For sales, our new training investment has been great but it's also a 'front' to put all the accountability on sales (and not the ELT) for our larger failings. Many of our opportunities and incentives have been stripped and austerity measures are intensifying. Boomi was never perfect was doing really well as a company by all measures until our new owners came along, to be clear. The tech market has imploded for a reason, as the gig is up and our owners are part of that gig economy. They are in no way the smartest people in the room, they don't understand our business, our potential or the knowledge in our current people. They only understand transactions and greed and power. They are the grossest and lowest level of people. Is that who you want to work for?

Pros

the engineers are great when not overworked!

Cons

The culture has shifted dramatically in the 2 years I worked there. I was told in my lay off meeting that my position was cut and no longer needed and it was nothing of my own doing. When i applied for unemployment benefits, Boomi told the state that I was let go for performance reasons. Never had a PIP, was a performer who went out of his way and always got the assigned work done. 7 years of service collectively but i was given a month of severance and laid off the friday before thanksgiving! Layoffs are the norm and get out while you can.

Pros

Great base pay, really good people in the trenches actually doing the work.

Cons

The new management is abysmal and out of touch. It’s a transparent play to make the c suite wealthy at the expense of dozens, maybe even hundreds at this point of real, hard-working people’s jobs. The executives are calloused and don’t seem to even have taken the time to learn about the core products and customers. Prices are going up regularly and standard deal terms change on a dime. It’s very hard to sign new customers and even harder to keep them- not uncommon to have a surprise renewal price increase for a current customer. What once as a fantastic organization is now being run into the ground by fear. Boomi has truly lost its place in the market and is a horrible place to work. They’ve replaced any and all experienced sales reps with a brand new team out of Canada- many who have never closed a deal.
