Booz Allen Hamilton reviews

Given the administration change, the future is somewhat uncertain and there is a feeling in the air at Booz Allen that culture is changing. Booz Allen withdrew a lot of their public support for the LGBTQ community and have began taking very conservative approaches to spending including job cuts. The pay is good however there are no bonuses for Lead Associates and below, merit increases are minimal around 2-3% each year so negotiate hard when you start because it will take a while to move up. Culturally, it's important to have a good circle of peers, especially outside your team. Like anywhere, a good leader can make or break your career but I learned this is incredibly important at Booz. Some leaders are very tenured employees are very hierarchal, old-school, reluctant to change - as expected, they take an archaic approach to leadership and tend to look out for themselves and their own. Adding to this theme, my observation in the corporate space was that some of the longer tenured employees (not all) struggle to keep up with basic technology. Despite having an advanced education and over 15+ years of experience in the corporate world, most of my time was spent making PowerPoints and helping senior leaders with basic excel/powerBi/microsoft products rather than data analysis/working on complex problems.

Lower pay, poor Career Management, too much bureaucracy, skills/experience of employees does not match job level.
