Pros

- BorgWarner cares about its people. They take our reviews very seriously and actively try to find ways to close the gaps that we point out. - BorgWarner's benefits package is second to none - BorgWarner chooses leadership well. I've never had a bad manager/leader - BorgWarner fosters a culture of respect and caring. Employees are encouraged to help one another, to work as 'OneBW' team, and to share our skill sets. This decreases the culture of competing with one another to advance; I don't look at my coworkers as competition. I just see peers working toward the same goal. I know that my hard work and capabilities speak for themselves. - Management actively discusses career progression with you. They tell you the exact road map that you need to follow to get where you need to go. Work in a plant, work in 2 business units, etc etc. - Management doesn't block your way and limit your progression opportunities; despite the pain it can cause for them - No micromanagement; you are respected and trusted to get the work done. Need to leave for an appointment? no issue. Need to WFH because of personal conflicts; totally fine. Of course you have to be cautious and respectful of this benefit b/c abusing it may create limitations for you specifically (justifiably).

Cons

- Automotive is a fast-paced environment which means workload can get a bit crazy at times. - BW is struggling with the shift toward remote work despite the fact that we have proven that it works. It's not completely rejected but we seem to be landing at Hybrid instead (still better than full return to office!). This barrier will unfortunately limit the labor pool that is willing to consider BW if we aren't careful.
