Pros

-Salary is top notch, especially out of MBA -Benefits are unparalleled ($5 insurance) -Learning opportunities are fantastic if you get on a good case -Exit opportunities (constant messages from headhunters) -Meritocracy

Cons

-Long hours / horrible WLB -Staffing (particularly in Atlanta, the Consultant staffer is universally hated) -Focus on diversity is lip service (just look at the number of women / minority partners in the office) -Some factor of luck into what partners / cases you get on (if you get a good PL and partner then there can be a lot of mentorship and advancement, but if you get stuck on a bad case early on then you may get stuck in a negative cycle) -Constant stress (though expected because it's client services and everything needs to be client ready at all times / this job attracts a lot of high caliber but highly competitive people)

Pros

Looking back, I have a lot fond memories of my time at BCG. I also have a lot of bad ones but I'll get to that next. I had a lot of fun with my case teams, and I learned much more than I would have anywhere else. Most of my cases were interesting and I was challenged constantly. Being a part of BCG had tons of perks too - I definitely miss traveling and eating like I used to. But in all seriousness, the network I built there is going to serve me for life. I don't know if I could have made a better choice out of undergrad.

Cons

With all the great things I said, they worked us hard. I barely saw some friends for months at a time, between the work and the traveling. I think the worst thing about the company is how competitive it is. I saw a lot of people struggling to figure things out and other associates wouldn't help. Some people were pretty two-faced, and they would act like your friend but would never actually help.
