Pros

Learn to speed walk through the "Methadone Mile" from the parking garage to work!

Cons

Worked in facilities dept. Workers are henpecked and pushed to the limit. Must look busy and be willing to do just about anything that they're ordered to do. Management micromanages to the point of exhaustion. Very cliquey place, and if you miss a beat they will come down on you with both feet. Will tell you anything to get you into the fold and then it's a full court press to make you feel like you're being watched in every conceivable way. They have a triple-check system of watching their workers with camera's all over the place. Many unhappy workers there pretend to be happy while counting the days until retirement. BTW: parking will set you back in excess of $225 a month!

Pros

One of the best reasons to work at Boston Medical Center is helping patient. Must of the patient call confused about medication, insurance coverage, when is there next appointment. I could tell on their voice how confuse they were but by the time I was done helping them I can sense the relieve on their voices and the patient would thank me many time for helping the. Just that little part made my day knowing that I was able to put a smile on someones face and at the same time they felt relieve.

Cons

The only down size that I can think of is the way the call center was set up, but they are working on making it more comfortable for employers.
