Pros
It was fun sometimes especially interacting with customers who share the same interest with you.
Cons
High expectations of pushing the free loyalty program and would bring a lot of pressure onto employees. If you preformed below a certain percentage, you would be kicked off the register. Another con specifically at the store I worked at is that it was very cliquey. I would heard drama about myself coming from store management such as me not picking up other peoples shift (I was in high school) and saying my availability was "very" limited (I had 4 days a week availability including anytime sat + sun). There are high expectations on the employee to devote their livelihood to a part-time job that pays below the average hourly salary. Please do not work here if you are in high school or college. And if you're looking for a full-time job or lots of hours here, good luck. For two months I did not get a single shift. During that time I also got my haired dyed a slight shade of pink because I was not working at all (that was a big no no to management because they wanted employees to have a "natural hair" color) It's like, you're telling me you want to pay me below average hourly salary for retail, work 0 hours for essentially 2 months, and maintain the "family friendly" look? Honestly, I could go on and on as this is just the surface.
