Pros

Discount at hot topic and BoxLunch stores. Fun items sold at stores. People who work there in stores are great.

Cons

Only during Christmas will associates get consistent hours above 10 a week Part time assistants have been told we can be sent to 6 a week minimum which isn’t livable Average hours I get as an assistant at a high volume store are about 20 Pay raises happen almost never and I’ve sat at 14 an hour for a year and a half Pay isn’t competitive at all with stores selling similar items Standards are unreachable and stores punished for it for example our store regardless of how good we are doing can still fail if a store in a way higher traffic area and better spot does better than us. Higher management has cursed at us because we didn’t meet his standards Single coverage most of the year besides Christmas Discounts given to customers are significantly better than employee discount No opportunity for growth
