Management Work at Sales Associate Pay for a Good Cause!

Pros

30% off at Boxlunch and 40% at Hottopic Donates MOS to shelters and a meal for every $10 spent. The customers are what made me enjoy clocking in everyday. Being around the pop culture is what made me really want to work here and enjoy carrying conversations with customers.

Cons

The training is non-existent, you're just thrown in and given sales goals to make which is okay for someone somewhat experienced in sales, but an entire different story for Keyholders and up. No Part Time benefits. Don't work here if you're looking for new Pop release advantages! It's actually a major disadvantage. You can't purchase them while you're working, you can't request off in order to buy one, and you can't put them on hold. People become really competitive about their names being clicked for sales, as there is no definitive line between a sale being yours or someone else's leading to petty disagreements about sale stealing. When people checkout and your name isn't being checked as frequently as someone else's you'll lose hours, so you have to be on the lookout for people stealing your sales as it will show up in the system and thus effect your hours. Either too many hours and no life outside of work (managers) or not enough to barely sustain yourself (part-time sales associate). Nice job for teens and people still living rent free I suppose. They only ever hire for part-time sales associate, so if you want more money it's best to start higher up in the company and demand more during the interview. The pay raise is worse when you're promoted from within.
