Pros

Very smart team, where team members and leadership care to make a difference & create something new and build something better every day while also having fun in the process. Great benefits and lots of ways for flexible ways of working.

Cons

While being part of PayPal is of course great for job stability, benefits (like PYPL stock!) etc - the downside is that the sheer size of PYPL can slow things down, and decisions making process can be frustrating, when PYPL sign off is needed. With that said, for a company 3 years after acquisition, Braintree still enjoys most of its freedoms and identity.

Great feedback and thanks for taking the time to let us know what is on your mind. I agree - we need to take the best of "both worlds" and I think we are learning how to do that more and more each day. Please feel free to share any ideas that can help us partner with other parts of the business. Plenty of feedback in slack channels or ping me directly. Shana Sternstein, Head of Talent BT and Venmo

Pros

- Culture is great. Amazing team. Everyone is bright, works hard, and believes in the product. - Product is growing. - The payments space is challenging. - Leadership is very transparent. - Being apart of PayPal, means great pay and benefits.

Cons

Nothing really. But if I had to pick one, it would be PayPal having a little more reach into Braintree then it did in the past. However overall, Braintree still runs as its own company.

Pros

Super smart people, fun office environment, great perks (free lunch, stocked kitchen). Flexibility to work remotely when needed.

Cons

Limited growth opportunities. Also Braintree is starting to feel more like PayPal since we got acquired by them. They are bringing people over from PayPal who don't understand the Braintree culture and imposing a lot of the PayPal style on us.
