Pros

At its core, Braun is a good company. The CEO is great and there are some very skilled and sharp mid to lower-level leaders in the organization. They do a good job of promoting within and investing in employees. There is a focus on fun company-wide events, especially before COVID.

Cons

401k plan and health insurance options leave something to be desired. Senior leadership is too interested in pinching costs and padding themselves on the back. Family culture from years ago has devolved into regional/office politics.

Pros

Will provide you with money for services performed.

Cons

Poor health insurance. Management is crazy and unorganized. Growth impossible without P.E. Only care about money. If you are fired or quit, your ESOP money that you invested is untouchable for 5-10 years. Ignores real problems. Expects people to do others jobs. Okay with subpar and illiterate management.

Pros

When I started 7 years ago Braun Intertec was proud to be "Consultant and Employer of Choice", this is what initially drew me into the company culture. Working for an ESOP makes you feel like your contributions are going towards more than a shareholders profits.

Cons

A few years ago the Chief People Officer was separated from the company, since then the culture has completely degraded. Any sign of "employer of choice" is completely subjective to where you work and who you report to in Corporate/Operations. Unless you are an engineer or scientist, they do not invest money in their workers despite constantly claiming that "our #1 product is our people." If this were true there would be a committed training and development department. The reality is that the strategy around succession planning, career pathing and mentoring are functionally non-existent. If you are in the field you are completely out of luck for being treated with dignity or respect since you are the bottom of the ladder. They no longer do the big culture building pieces and everything is focused on just "keeping the lights on". No commitment to improving processes. This is not sustainable. Diversity and inclusion is literally non-existent. Predominantly white and male, especially in leadership roles. Top heavy management that rewards themselves with bonuses while laying off workers. Didn't even provide an exit interview when I left after years of dedicated service. Should tell you everything you need to know about leaderships willingness for feedback. BEWARE.
