It's Definitely Not For Everyone, But...

Pros

Amazing benefits Amazing pay REALLY smart people Very little to zero politics due to the workplace culture of transparency Performance reviews, promotion decisions, etc. are all recorded and shared with the company, so there is no second guessing about why a career outcome resulted the way it did. There's a no BS approach to feedback - if someone messed up, tell them and figure out why. You are never left to guess if you did well, or if your work was well-received. The company seems to have become more consensus-driven since the migration away from Ray (the founder). This was to be expected given the shift from a founder-run company to an employee-owned company.

Cons

It's not for the weak-stomached. If straightforward feedback induces anxiety, this would not be a healthy work environment for you. D&I is something that is constantly talked about at the senior leadership level, but the company still struggles to resolve, particularly in the technology area. Hoping to see continued improvement here (and optimistic about it).

Mixed bag.

Pros

Good perks that come with working at a large firm (food, gym, reimbursements etc, good pay too considering the work isn't really front office).

Cons

Culture is huge here, managers really like to take an interest in people's inherent personalities and tendencies. As someone who likes a demarkation between work and personal life, such a probing culture isn't really conducive for that. Also hard to get good exits, unless you plan on leaving finance.

Pros

Daily breakfast, lunch and snacks

Cons

Intense cult-like environment. You have to drink the kool-aid here or run.
