      Understaffed offices, underpaid caregivers and no merit increases

      Pros

      The disabled and elderly clients are lovely people, and appreciative for the assistance you provide. Most of the caregivers work incredibly hard under challenging conditions.

      Cons

      The caregivers are the lowest paid caregivers in the industry. When I was there, office personnel had not been given any metric increases in over 5 years. The workload and stress are very, very high but that is exacerbated by the fact that every office is clearly understaffed. All training is OTJ (on the job), which makes it inconsistent from office to office. There is a high turnover rate with office personnel.

      Pros

      My coworkers were awesome...benegits were good too.

      Cons

      My supervisor was completely unprofessional, lacked experience, she hated her job and stated it daily, and made life at work unbearable. When i was fired she had previously put me on,a 90day write up referral and said you'll be fired at the end of this. She did not even give me a chance, why would i try then.

      Pros

      I love working with my residents and seeing them smile makes me smile

      Cons

      There is a lot of passing the buck with it comes to certain situations regarding the residents and the ball gets dropped and then there is a lot of ass covering. Its hard to be trained or to train workers. There are rules and safeguards put in place but when it comes down to it no one wants to help if they have an email address
