      ResCare although an international company, it has the feel of a local mom and pop operation in a very bad way.

      Pros

      A very diverse company with several services offered.

      Cons

      A global company with over 70 percent of its revenues generated from government contracts. This causes the business to operate at the mercy of various over-sight boards that do not always follow and keep up with current trends within the industry.

      Pros

      I love my clients. And the office staff is usually very understanding about family issues and problems that come up. They are willing to work around your personal schedule

      Cons

      You will not pay your bills working for Rescare. They will not give raises and the hourly wage is not enough to cover the cost of gas to work for them, let alone support your kids and feed them. Some days it feels like we 'volunteer", because we certainly dont make much money

      Pros

      Great working enviroment, Great people to work with! Everyone is very helpful in the division that I work in.

      Cons

      No raises in several years, No Evals in several years, Benefits are not good compared to other national companies. Rescare could be a Great Place to work but they don't value their employees. You have several employees in my division that are very loyal but ResCare does not reconize that. These super star employees keep taking on more and more with no increases no incentives.... Rescare management basically indicates that you should be thankful to have a job.
