Pros

After leaving the nonprofit world, I was nervous about returning to the for‑profit sector. Finding my place at Brighton Jones has been an incredible relief and a genuine joy. This is a company that leads by example—every day we take meaningful action to give back and make a positive impact. I’m surrounded by supportive teammates, enjoy excellent benefits, and, most importantly, feel that my boundaries are respected. Brighton Jones encourages a healthy, fulfilling life outside of work, and that’s rare. It may sound too good to be true, but this really is a special company.

Cons

Not really a con—more a reflection of reality. We’re still growing, and growth brings change, which can be challenging. The company is expanding quickly and putting real effort into practicing good change management. We’re improving systems while scaling them, and that’s never simple. There will always be tough days anywhere you work, but the culture here makes those days manageable.

Pros

The company has a strong corporate culture with a genuine focus on people. One of the most impactful aspects is the MESI (Mindful Emotional & Social Intelligence) program, which was a fantastic benefit for new employees. The team is full of friendly, considerate, and talented coworkers, and leadership is supportive and thoughtful. I also really appreciate how the People Team (instead of calling themselves HR) goes the extra mile to get to know employees personally. The company even created a customized video to introduce new hires to everyone, which was a really special touch. There are fun team-building events, compensation is competitive, and the company consistently brings in top talent, which keeps the culture thriving.

Cons

Some people do put in longer hours and certain roles do demand extra time, but that’s to be expected in a growing company. Even with that, everyone I see still really enjoys their work, and that positive energy is truly infectious.

Pros

I genuinely love working at Brighton Jones because of the people and the culture we’ve built together. The firm is filled with thoughtful, kind, and deeply committed teammates who truly care about one another and show up as #OneTeam every day. There’s a strong sense of trust and psychological safety here - people are encouraged to be themselves, ask questions, and support each other through both challenges and growth. What sets Brighton Jones apart for me is how intentionally we invest in our people. Through MESI (Mindful, Emotional, and Social Intelligence), we don’t just talk about values, we actively practice them. MESI provides shared language and tools that strengthen self-awareness, empathy, and connection, which shows up in how we collaborate, lead, and care for one another. It creates an environment where continuous growth feels supported rather than pressured. I’ve also appreciated the real opportunities for development here - professionally and personally. Whether through leadership support, learning opportunities, or meaningful conversations around inclusion and belonging, Brighton Jones consistently encourages us to grow with purpose. It’s a place where people are trusted, challenged, and supported to do their best work while living richer lives themselves.

Cons

As with many founder‑built companies, some of the approaches that helped Brighton Jones grow quickly can create friction as we scale. Continued success will require greater consistency and standardization across processes so teams can operate more efficiently and sustainably. That kind of change takes intention, alignment, and grit; it doesn’t always come easily. Still, the effort is worth it, as clearer processes ultimately free people up to do their best work and support long‑term growth
