Pros

My entire career prior to joining Brightway was with companies who everyone would recognize nationally. I have experienced the "large corporate world" that so many of us participate in on a daily basis. That world can be very unforgiving and uncaring to the thousands of "replaceable cogs in the machine" that have no faces or families in the eyes of the corporate giants running them. Brightway is not one of those places. The founding brothers of Brightway take the time to have lunch with each group of new employees who come to work for the corporate office at Brightway. When I say this, I mean every single new employee regardless of the position they hold. Our new employees are shocked that they actually care enough and take the time to do this. That is their first glimpse into the Brightway culture. It is a caring and family like environment. Brightway's Core Values are "Smart, Accountable and Trustworthy". These Core values were chosen after soliciting feedback from all Brightway employees which I believe says a lot. The leadership team at Brightway asks for employees' feedback and they take the feedback seriously. Everyone from newly hired employees to managers and above are instructed to make decisions based on our Core Values and to always find a solution that is a "Win for the customer", a "Win for our Agency Owners" and a "Win for our insurance carriers that we represent". The founders of Brightway refer to this as "W3 or Winning Cubed".

Cons

Brightway strives for excellence in all aspects of the organization. Excellence usually requires more work and discipline than poor, average or good.

Pros

Brightway pushes their employees to achieve success, not only for the company but for the employees personal growth. Everyone around you is working for the same goal and you feel like you are truly apart of something big and you can make a difference and an impact. There is a lot of growth which leads to new opportunities all the time.

Cons

There are always areas to improve upon, BUT the great thing about the company is that they will truly listen to you... bring an idea to the table or a solution and they listen. Common sense works well in this company,, and accountability. If you can't hold yourself accountable then this isn't the place for you.

A modern day snake-oil company

Pros

Lots of decent, hard-working people, who are trying to do their best.

Cons

Owners and CEO outright lie about the environment being "family friendly." If you are part of a mafia family, maybe! People who wok hard and do their best are not always rewarded, instead promotions to those who are not knowledgeable and unprofessional are almost a guarantee. They try to lure you in with promises of the company always moving upwards and progressing, but that is not the case. Training is not even training, when you consider the poor lady running training is always being pulled in various directions, and doesn't have the time or resources needed to turn out truly capable and customer service oriented employees. Even the benefits packages are a joke. If you look at what they are giving you, the employee ends up paying more out of pocket than Brightway does. Some "benefit" that is! You worry each and every day if it will be your turn to be given a box with your stuff in it. Not a place anyone with any respect for themselves will want to be. If you are looking for an opportunity in the insurance world, stay far, far away from Brightway. Their "model" will soon come crumbling down like the fall of Rome, or worse. And with the direction they are currently heading in, a lot of carriers will soon stop wanting to do business with them, because of the loud-mouthed, obnoxious fools they put in charge of their sales department.
