Pros

It's a small company and you will have to strive hard at delivery excellence. You will also have to take every criticism in your stride. Good oversight from senior management on project status. Repeat business from client is good, in fact this is also their sore point for the growth story Good exposure to new tech, work-life balance is okay Processes are being followed at project level and good push from the QA team as well

Cons

Acquiring new clients is a big pain in the neck. During my sufficiently long tenure I have not seen many new clients getting inducted. Sales and account management teams at onsite have been average performers over the last couple of years. The repeat business is majorly in the line of maintenance or transformation (generic technologies). This is leading to the management accepting just about any kind of potential work from existing client. Lesson-Beggars are not choosers. This has also lead to poor growth opportunities and high attrition rate for the top rated talent. The only people you will find sticking around are either those who have given into the monotonous IT life or are holding themselves to the promise of getting promoted by default every couple of years. Lesson-promotion slots are fairly limited. How does it affect your career: Clash of interests for mid-level employees. The company aims to dive into the promising SMAC business whereas their cash cow is still the maintenance projects with existing clients on relatively generic technologies. In case you're joining at a management level it just might prove to be difficult to achieve yearly or even quarterly revenue targets with the dwindling wok requests. Advice: This might turn out to be a good switch for you in case you have something to offer on SMAC platform, for generic techs stay away until another review comes up citing new client addition. Applies at every level.
