Pros
There really aren't any. Some of the coworkers are great and the residents are usually nice.
Cons
Where do I start? You'll be micromanaged to the point that you get almost nothing done. As a manager, you'll have next to zero capability of doing anything without approval. They charge residents erroneously with no regard for the laws in the municipalities they operate in which often leads to very angry residents. Residents are charged for normal wear and tear. The benefit package is the worst I've ever seen. Onsite employees get very minimal holidays yet the corporate office is off all the time. The insurance is both unaffordable and awful. If you can afford it, be prepared to fight the insurance company on virtually every claim. PTO is also not generous and they don't pay your earned PTO on your departure which is why employees often don't feel the need to give a notice when they resign. Turnover is very high in some areas. Their properties are very run down and not well maintained. They frequently skyrocket rents without making any improvements to the properties. Residents/buildings frequently go without necessary items such as heat or malfunctioning appliances just to save the money. They say "Broad Cares," and they do..... about the money and reviews. That's it!
