Pros

I worked on the Legal lT team that managed legal contracts with artists & vendors. The Nashville office is pretty awesome with easy parking, a wonderful cafe & amenities, and great opportunities to network in the music industry. Time off for appointments & such is very generous and you don't need formal approval or PTO for things like Doctor/Repairperson/Car Appts.

Cons

Most of the IT systems are largely powered by SQL and Stored Procedures, so no matter what your title is as a Developer/Programmer, you'll most likely be doing 60-75% SQL work any given week. On some teams it becomes lowkey implied that you're expected to be free to work on nights/weekends at short notice. IT projects tasks are highly micromanaged by the hour and you have to explain in detail to leadership why something you worked on simply took longer than expected. IT has a new 100% remote work policy that's pretty great, but some people take advantage of it and are unavailable during normal business hours too often.
