Pros

Limited experience with Broadcom post acquisition. Was there for about a year during transition.

Cons

Payroll was very disorganized. Took forever to get replies. Overall bad experience dealing with Broadcom personnel. Nothing was timely or efficient. They did not care about "transition employees".

Pros

Salary and benefits are pretty decent. Equity awards are excellent

Cons

Way too top heavy and everything is about company profits. They don't care about the customers or the employees just profit

Don't get comfortable

Pros

Great RSUs and bonuses make up for the fact that the salaries are low. Workload is also incredibly light for most employees. No one is stressed about work/life balance because the work is so easy.

Cons

Working at Broadcom is like working on quarterly contracts because you never know if it's going to be your last day. The layoffs are rampant and they happen every quarter. That's because Broadcom stock is so high that people simply never leave on their own accord. With such low voluntary attrition, the management team are in constant layoff mode. I have never felt safe, only that I'd have a job for the next three months.
