      My time at Brocade would have been longer if they had not consolidated remote engineering sites.

      Pros

      The team work and ability to grow your skill set so that you can grow your career is one of the reasons to work for Brocade. Their Benefit package and Bonus program is another.

      Cons

      Like most enterprise companies, you will find politics in the ranks and will need to deal with it. They do tend to look at outsourceing work to India faster than other companies.

      Unappreciative management, no personal life

      Pros

      People who have empty lives, who need something to distract them from their current life's problems will find such an artificial high pressure work environment suited to their temprament.

      Cons

      They hire very accomplished and senior people and make them perform repetitive tasks. I have been expected to get off work at 6 pm and starting working in the evening. I get work assigned to me at 7pm on a Friday and due on Monday. This has been happening weekend after weekend . During the week I get just a few hours of sleep everyday. I will not want this life even if I were getting a million dollars annually.

      Great compensation, great support, great company

      Pros

      Even as an intern, there was great compensation. It was very obvious that the HR cared a great deal about the intern's experiences. There were many company hosted events that promoted networking and relationship development. It was a great place to begin a career in the corporate world.

      Cons

      At the time, the company was slightly disorganized due to the recent acquisition. Chain of commands was a little obscure, and it was often a little difficult to find the right person to talk to about a specific product or process simply because the hierarchy was very obscure.
