      Sliding Quickly into Oblivion...

      Pros

      Compensation, campus, cafe, SAN Products. Nice gym. Nice parking structure.

      Cons

      New Management has the company on a downward spiral. Cost cutting is gutting the core programs that once made Brocade great. Attrition is high, with another wave to happen this summer after bonuses are paid. Strategy is vague. New technology is interesting, but lacks real world application today. Marketing is a disaster. Goodbye status quo and goodbye Brocade.

      Pros

      Once a great company. If you are looking for a storage job, brocade gives you a great brand. Ex-employees are successful in what they did later in career and you will be looked at the same angle.

      Cons

      Senior engineering management is clueless and mostly political. Severe attrition in engineering management is the proof. No one complains while leaving, that just means they are numb after last few months.

      Pros

      For Accounting job, this is my best workplace for my entire 18 years of working life. Free to make decisions within my job scope and no micro manage by bosses. Flexibility, understanding boss, nice colleagues.

      Cons

      Many grey areas in terms of policies and make it difficult to work. Salary is not quite fair. Eg. As a team lead, my pay is only $100 more than my team members. Before that was even lower than them! Boss is too flexible ended up staff takes advantage. Eg. Too much of internet shopping, FB, etc. and work is not done. Boss never monitor staff leave so those who take mc or urgent leave never apply also never bother. Unfair to the rest. No training for staff to improve themselves.
