Pros

Easy entry level role for someone to get into.

Cons

Poor pay, poor management. Working at brook street was decidedly the worse decision of my career. The management was a joke, refusing to answer escalating queries with customers and ignoring clients when she couldn’t be bothered. There are barely any incentives which is odd within recruitment and base pay increases are non existent. Training is poor and working hours are long. Do not work here, you can earn more and do less elsewhere and build your career away from this toxic environment.

I'm sorry to hear that your experience didn't meet your expectations. We have recently formed a talent team and talent hub to aid in training and development of our workforce, as well as a coaching program for managers to further aid development and professional growth of our workforce. However, there is still much work to be done and as a business we are committed to making improvements where possible. Thank you for your feedback, we will be assessing compensation structures based on your feedback too. I wish you all the best in whatever you are currently doing.

Pros

Good training that sets recruiters up for life. Family feel about the company. The working day flies by. Lots of job satisfaction.

Cons

Poor wages. Poor or non-existent commmission. Very cliquey at the top in Senior Management. Dominated by chain smoking , middle-aged women with hearts of stone. Unrealistic targets. A bit "rah -rah". My advice to new Recruiters is start your career with firms like Brook Street and move on to a " proper" agency after 12 months or so. Soak up the training/experience & then get out quick !

Thank you for your honest review, I'm very pleased to hear about your job satisfaction and the training that you received. We believe in a culture of learnability, where employees can acquire transferable skills, so I'm very happy to hear you experienced this. I'm less thrilled to read your comments about management. I don't know how long ago you were working with us but I hope that this perception has since changed. Please rest assured that your feedback will be taken on board.
