Pros

You'll learn a lot about sales here You're encouraged to take clients out & give them a good experience

Cons

- Unlivable base salary (Can't stress this enough. If you have student loans or pay car insurance, you will not be able to live within your means) - Passive aggressive & authoritarian leadership, feels like you're in a bad relationship - Commission percentages are no longer competitive (slashed) - Micromanagement - Can't speak transparently without running the risk of termination - Weekly surveys that you have to lie to because you can't say you had a tough week ^^ - Favoritism - Leadership will pick who calls on the 10-year top-producing account and who calls on 2 ice-cold accounts in the middle of a recession. If you're not a favorite, expect the latter! - Full of gossip and bad mouthing behind people's backs, office culture is fine on the outside but toxic & cliqued on the inside - Brooksource tries to compete with big-4 integrators but is by no means set up to do so. - some coworkers look at you funny when you don't hang out with coworkers on weekends (can't have your own friends I guess) - When you take over a warm account you're stuck managing all of the past contractors, can be 1 to 100, doesn't matter though because you'll never be compensated for supporting them even if it takes 40 hours a week - If this is your first job after college, you only find out how problematic Brooksource is when you finally quit. They make it seem like everything is so much worse when it's quite the opposite

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. All leadership positions are hired from within which means that our leadership has personal experience in the positions that they oversee. Usually, this opens the door for thoughtful leadership and mentoring, but the scenario you have described does NOT align with the culture we want to create. We are deeply disappointed to hear that you had such a negative experience at Brooksource. Would you be willing to contact us at success@eightelevengroup.com so that we can learn more, as we are always striving to better ourselves?

Pros

Can be fun fresh out of college and a great way to make friends if you are moving to a new city

Cons

Very low base salary, far less than competitors They will make you share hotel rooms with strangers in the organization Stress of the job isn't worth the pay No outside leadership or ideas in the organization Brooksource tries to compete with large technology integrators and their services don't compete Very little opportunity to speak transparently with your leadership without risk of being fired Large drinking culture and very unprofessional at times, people saying I love you to coworkers, etc... The leaders pick who they want to make money and spend most of their time with those reps, if you aren't a yes man or favorite, don't expect to make any money here Consistent issues with their payroll and onboarding departments which gets put on the AE's and Recruiters Burn out and attrition is high Unethical leadership, your leadership will bad mouth you to other people in the organization constantly. No true HR in place, there’s only a few people in the entire organization and your market doesn’t have an assigned HR person. Even if you do go to HR, it’s pointless

We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and honest feedback! Although, we are disappointed to hear that it was a negative one. Culture is everything here at Brooksource which is why we strive to create a welcoming environment where all our employees feel empowered to be the best. We say “strive” because as you have mentioned, our work is far from finished. Cultural changes do take time, and we believe we are taking the right steps. This includes the creation of our employee-led connection groups, joined together based on common backgrounds, identities, or interests to provide a safe space for conversation and development. We have also expanded our benefits to include mental wellness coverage, additional PTO, and parental leave for all employees, as well as tuition assistance for those who qualify. These are just some of our latest enhancements to our internal culture! As we continue to grow, so will the type of support and assistance we provide to our employees, consultants, and clients. Thank you again for your feedback, as it is reviews like this that help us better align our plans for the future with the needs of our internal employees!
