Pros

Good Company, great benefits and most employees stay for a long time. Lots of changes, although scary can also be exciting.

Cons

Lots of changes going on in the company right now, so many employees feel as though they are walking on eggshells.

Pros

Strong camaraderie amongst coworkers who are friendly and part of an established team. Operational procedures well-documented. Well-liked globally recognized name brand. Founding company in Japan appears to be very innovative and hard-working. Management tries to be sincere and appreciative of team members' efforts.

Cons

Departments work in silos. A lot of talk to change and innovate but processes and management stuck in specific "channels" and old ways of thinking. Increasing bureaucracy slowing down processes, market competitiveness, and sales. Company culture based on cliques. Not easy to feel like you are part of a real family.

Pros

Good benefits, decent pay and good job security (although that is changing rapidly). Nice office building and amenities. Great holiday party and other activities (summer picnic, etc) Some very nice people.

Cons

If you are in the Marketing Department in the Business Machine Group, be prepared to be micro-managed, marginalized, beaten down - all on the good days. Gets worse from there. You are generally punished for independent thought, strategic drive, creativity and daring to question the status quo. Sure, there is lip service that preaches the contrary, but don't believe it. The real change the organization needs is not happening - only window dressing change to kick the can down the road.
