Food days during tax season, but poor knowledge sharing

Pros

Lots of company food days during Tax Season. People are generally friendly.

Cons

The people who know what they're doing don't stick around. The people who have the most longevity are hesitant to answer basic process questions, and also don't know who should be able to answer the question. Procedures are not documented or easy to locate; between incomplete SOP documents, an Intranet, and internal server storage, it takes a very long time to get an answer to simple procedure questions. Management publicly requests feedback and engagement but the staff with longevity know to not speak up.

Cons

They are aquiring firms claiming it is because "their culture aligns with ours" and that is not just about numbers. This has not been the case and it is clear just by looking at the work load amoungst the staff while processes are pushed for the back burner as "we will handle it later" but later never comes or it is up to the people that are in the trenches to figure it out when they are drowning.

Very supportive and inclusive environment. Received exposure to several industries and gained extensive knowledge through working in these industries

Cons

A bit top heavy in the sense that there were more partners than managers, so the managers seemed to be stretched thin at times, but that’s probably common within the industry
