Pros

- Rate of pay and generous expenses policy. - Name recognition. - Attempts have been made to diversify the office. - Rich opportunities to travel.

Cons

- The overwhelming majority of the Berlin office is pale, male and stale, though management are very clearly working to change this. - Issues arise from a scarcely available management team. - There is absolutely no onboarding; management literally throws you into the deep end and hopes for the best. As a result of this, there are absolutely no outcome metrics for what would allow an employee to pass probation. - Health and safety isn't taken too seriously. Concerns are often dismissed by management (e.g. "We've never had issues before...", and you're not wrong! But something only needs to go wrong once!) - Roles are poorly defined. Bruker uses corporate-speak and sentiments, rather than providing actual metrics and responsibilities. - Bruker essentially "runs" on a franchise model. It buys out smaller companies in order to boost its portfolio. Therefore, different Bruker companies likely differ significantly. - The company advertises "flexi-time" and "work from home" opportunities, but every time I asked to work from home, I was met with animosity from management.
