Pros

- Competitive salaries at the outset; - Moden office and well-equipped facilites; - International environment with exposure to global processes.

Cons

- Misaligned hiring practises: Despite having all the resourses to succed when it launched in 2023, the Bruker BSC in Portugal prioritized language skills over accounting expertise when hiring. This has lead to a workplace largely unprepared for technical demands of the role. - Short-term talent strategy: Initially, above-market salaries were used to attract talent and manage the high workload from the transition of operations from the Poland BSC to Porto. Now that the transfer is complete, there is a clear intent to phase out the higher-paid, more experienced staff. - No career development: Advancement opportunities are virtually nonexistent. All startegic and senior roles remain concentrated in Germany, Poland, or the US, with no indication that this will change. - Declining talent quality: With the most of the experienced and capable employees having already left (and more likely to follow), the center is at risk of turning into little more than a transactional service hub. - Appauling leadership: Senior leadership lacks backbone and rarelz addresses internal conflicts effectively. Team leaders often lack basic knowledge of accounting and operational processes, which blocks innovation and frustrates those trying to improve workflows. Leadership training appears nonexistent. - Hiring trend continues downward: New roles are now being filled by junior profiles with standard pay and little experience, a continuation of the poor staffing strategy that is eroding quality.
