Poor training in the department, No standard operating procedures, lack or communication, overwhelming phone calls, did not have tools available timely to do job, rude management

EXCELLENT nurse:patient ratios, I had an excellent and supportive manager, great patient population to work with, lots of support from physicians & midlevels and easy to get a hold of. Felt like we provided good care overall. Competitive pay, especially for NE.

Cons

It's a growing company and of course there are a lot of administrators and managers who are out of touch with what floor nurses do... but that is the norm with and healthcare org in these days... wasting money on "lean" and "5S" while I was there. It's stupid, but didn't have any real changes to my job.

It can be hard knowing some of the clients thrive while they are with you but then go back home to a horrible home life and the cycle starts over again.
