No bonuses - Management earns everything you should have in vendor bonuses for selling product. There are no holiday bonuses either. No profit share.
"Good ole boys" - Management all seem to be related in some way. Family members escalate faster up the internal hierarchy. There is no room for upward mobility, expect to be in an entry level position for years, even if they fancy up your title.
Disgruntled employees - almost every employee at Buffalo Rock is disappointed and frustrated in their work load and life. This causes them to be frustrated in others achievements. The better you do at the job, the more you will be hated. The worse you do at your job, the more you will be hated. There is no fine line, the people are just plain unhappy, and have the personality of snakes. This is not obvious at first, the people there are nosy and gossipy, so you will make friends upon entering, but it seems solely for the sake of being in your personal and work business, until they build enough information to verbally tear you apart to other individuals. Everyone here has the mentality that they are better than everyone here at what they do, so they all have different ways of doing the same job.
No recognition - There are no formal awards at Buffalo Rock. You will receive no proven success to add to your resume no matter how successful you are, even in sales. There is no employee of the month. You will not be told when you have done good, you will only be told when you screw up. If you are being recognized, there is a motive behind it, such as trying to earn someone in Management a prize or sending the general manger on a fancy vacation. You however will not enjoy these privileges.
