Pros

There are benefits, Bonuses Remote working

Cons

There are many cons to working here if you are more technical and want a technical career. This is your typical SAAS company so its run like a call center. For those who are Non Technical, they can potentially do well here but that all comes down to what clique you are in. If you are in the right clique, you will have access to promotions. For the rest, it doesnt matter how hard you work or how many tickets you close, you will remain a Teir 1 analyst for your entire tenure. There are many Teir 1 analyst who have been her for 5+ years with no movement in sight, If you want a technical role, Bullhorn isnt the place for you to find it. This role was not for me as it hindered my career trajectory. Its all propreity software which doesnt get you far. I would recommend not staying longer than a year if you can because it just gets worse from there. You will become obselete and in this job market, I have seen many former co workers who were let go during the last layoff still struggling to find work as their skills dont translate well anywhere else. There is a high turnover rate, micromanagement, an odd promotions structure and an unfair bonus structure. Let me put it this way, getting promoted from T1 Support to T1 Support 2 is an insult and their way of lying to your face. Its the same the exact job so its a fake promotion. Its very low pay and the bonuses are hard to get especially if you take any PTO. You really cant trust management when they discuss you and any disciplinary actions you may have received with other people. Talking to HR about it gets you no where but more discipline and retaliation. If you are Non Technical, this could be a good place for you to grow your career if not, dont stay too long. Also, let me make this clear, minority groups cannot represent each other. You will notice the higher you go the more white and male it gets. This is a fact. Again, minority groups dont represent each other so it means nothing to a poc if a white woman has a high position.

We have a zero tolerance policy in place for retaliation and I personally stand by this. Please, as a current employee, I'd encourage you to come and talk to me, confidentially. We've been working really hard to evolve our Support organization to address some of the legacy challenges we've had, but by some of the things you are saying, there's either a disconnect or some other challenge(s). This is not the Bullhorn experience for most of our employees, nor how we want people to feel, so I'd encourage you to come and share your perspective with me so I can potentially help. - Kelley Morse, CPO

Disaster PMO - Beware, you deserve better.

Pros

Salary is good. That's literally all.

Cons

The Bullhorn PMO has no conviction in it's processes, goals, or expectations. Processes, goals, and expectations change on a whim and are very poorly communicated. PMO leadership is poor. Management is antagonistic and uninterested in proactively coaching or developing PMO team members. Leadership refuses accountability for undermining PMs on their projects. Despite preaching a core company value to not "assume negative intent", belief in that value does not extend to the PMs because they will assume that you are the problem - not the broken product, failures to meet client compliance requirements, forcing teams to work on deliverables with no approved change order or contract, or multiple support or technical departments you must rely on with no accountability to deliver work they are scheduled to deliver on time, within budget, or within scope. Every project you work here that is budgeted for over 100 hours will end up delivered either late, over budget (even after fudging numbers), or not as initially scoped - or many times all three of these things. If you've been a project manager long enough to get a CAPM or PMP, don't work here. This is PM hell. You will regret associating with this company. Pick literally any other SaaS opportunity, it won't be worse.

Pros

Awesome co workers. Flexible schedule.

Cons

High turnover. Managers fail to communicate effectively with their teams. People often just "disappear" with no explanation

We've focused our talent acquisition team on bringing more women to Bullhorn. So far, over 35% of our hires in 2018 have been women. While we are making progress we are not declaring victory. We promote between 5 and 10% of our employees every quarter; if we have overlooked someone, please let me know at kcastelda@bullhorn.com.
