Best place I've ever worked

Pros

Down-to-earth, practical leaders, strong culture, market leader. I've worked at 5 different corporations across my 15 year professional career and Bullhorn is by far the best company I've been a part of. The leaders, benefits, working environment has felt inclusive since day 1. As long as you're open with your leaders about what you want in your career - what are your aspirations, roadblocks, etc. you will find your way and have no issues. No place is perfect but there's so much opportunity to move up, around, learn and grow at Bullhorn. It all depends on the type of person you are. Are you hungry, are you a self-starter, are you unafraid to challenge the status quo? Then this is definitely the place to be and to grow. If you are a complainer who needs your hand held, it won't work for you. Bullhorn is building top-notch leaders! I've grown tremendously since being here and don't see myself leaving anytime soon.

Cons

Tough economic times (which can happen anywhere) but strong leadership and clear vision for the future.

Pros

Market leader in its space with a comprehensive suite of solutions, making it an exciting place to work as the company continues to evolve and grow. What I like: 1) Transparent company townhalls - the townhalls are thoughtfully planned and thoroughly presented, Not just high-level overviews but detailed insights. This approach helps us understand the bigger picture and make significant progress. 2) Career growth opportunities - Bullhorn is really a place for those who want to advance their careers and expand their skill sets. This is evident across the teams, with many employees moving up from junior roles to more senior positions. 3) Doing the right thing - while Bullhorn doesn't always get everything right, it’s clear that they care about any missteps and make strides to correct them. There’s a strong willingness to listen, learn, and pivot when necessary. 4) People - last but not least. The people are great and help you level up. There seems to be an unwritten rule or baton being passed down the waves of new employees coming through where everyone looks to support one another.

Cons

Consistent customer focus across departments. I've struggled with this at times but think we've turned a corner where people are on the same page as me when I am advocating for a customer in pain.

Opportunities + Strong Culture = My Happy Place

Pros

Each day, I'm still amazed at the incredible level of opportunity that presents itself. Opportunities to work with talented people, opportunities to make a noticeable impact in the meaningful work that I do, opportunities for career growth (both laterally and upward if desired), and opportunities to fulfill our mission of putting the world to work. And that would be pretty great as is, but then to also layer in a strong culture where we can be our true, authentic selves at work and live out Bullhorn's core values is extra sweet. I've been here for nearly 5 years and I'm excited for my next 5!

Cons

There's no obvious cons right now that aren't just a fact of the world of work and Saas/tech these days. The economy continues to be sluggish which puts pressure on the business across all levels, roles, and departments. It's a lot of fun when you're in growth mode and winning together - it's LESS fun when you're not growing and dealing with the business realities therein. But even in the face of those challenges, that's where the strong culture and opportunities can pull you through. I wouldn't want to battle through challenging times with any other group of people besides my team, Bullhorn leadership, and our customers. We're all in this together!
