      Great place to work

      Pros

      Good location, and some very bright, interesting people to work with. Many managers care about a life/work balance. Lots of opportunities to follow specific interests.

      Cons

      Senior Management could communicate better with staff about their plans and direction and business performance. The bonus scheme is obtuse. Very little visibility of business services staff or business support. Salaries are too low.

      Flexible great employer

      Pros

      BuroHappold has a lovely atmosphere and the leadership and everyone here are genuinely nice people who see the people who work here as individuals rather than resources. The partners are accessible and managers are approachable. The company does fantastic exciting work and encourages us to stretch ourselves and follow what we love to do. I have had several exciting opportunities here to travel and do new projects that really interested me. I feel the people here care about my career and what it means to me.

      Cons

      The pay can be not as high as other companies, but the flexibility over working hours and the like make up for that. They need to work on having better standard processes that management are seen to support as it can feel at times that I don't know what good looks like. Their managers need better training in what it means to be a manager and the impact they have on the motivation of people. It can also be a bit of an "old boys club" at times which gets a bit irritating, who you know not what you know, but I hope this is changing as they are putting in place new processes for better project management.
