I was asked to volunteer to help on a project. Given very little instruction and struggled to figure out how to help the needs while working remotely. Asked to do additional volunteer work with extremely poor guidance. Began getting immediate pressure from management to perform task, felt extremely pressured, no one to ask for help. The pressure was extremely unprofessional and rude. Also never told the job would be working remotely & lasted for weeks, then with very little notice told we would begin working in a new office a few days later. Felt isolated, with new management, seemed very inexperienced on-boarding multiple people. Trained over and over again on the same task for different counties and systems crashed constantly. Then with very little notice we would be summoned to a video conference, managers would be coming in and out of the conference with no introductions. Sent equipment to home without advance notice and signatures were required, so if you missed the delivery you didn't have your equipment to start the job. You were sent several pieces of equipment for use on the job but didn't have enough ports to plug it all into your computer and when you asked to get a USB adapter to plug it all in - never got an answer. After I quit, my Cobra plan went into effect and I paid the bill for the new month, not knowing they changed their health care manager and it took me 3 months to get reimbursed for the health care. When you aren't working this is brutal. Should have ensured all Cobra members were informed of the new plan. I had to pay the new health care cost to another company 3 days into the new month which meant for the same month I had to pay close to $2000 to two different Cobra management firms. Never getting my reimbursement for months. And I had to call, call, call, call, and beg for my money to be reimbursed. BusPatrol offered me zero help in the manner. Had to file a claim with my state insurance fraud to get my money back. Also the 401K manager changed and they took money out of my pay and it took me months to be contacted by the company who manages it, so I had no idea who was in control and were my contribution was. On my first interview I inquired about parking lot, or parking costs so I could estimate my expenses of the area where the office was to be located... I was not given that information until 5 weeks after starting the job.
