Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We appreciate your honesty, and your input is invaluable as we strive to create a positive and supportive work environment. It's great to hear that you appreciate the hourly rate, free hot drinks, free fruit, payday pizza, Christmas bonus, and paid get-togethers. We're pleased to know that these initiatives contribute to a positive experience for our squad members. However, we are sorry to hear about the challenges you're facing, including the cold environment and the physical and mental demands of the job. Your well-being is our priority, and we constantly look for ways we can support you with our uniform and the winter warmer offerings we have been able to offer over the last few years (thermals, freezer jackets, etc.). We will continue to look into the investment of machinery and automation opportunities, as we have done in some areas so far, to hopefully improve some of the experiences you have shared. We want to assure you that we are committed to fostering a fair and inclusive workplace. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention, and we will work towards creating an environment where everyone feels valued and treated equitably. Once again, thank you for sharing your thoughts. Feel free to contact the People Team directly if you wish to discuss it further.

Pros

I enjoyed being in the company due to some of the people that worked there that were shop floor focused, i.e. team leaders, lead ops, skilled ops, gen ops and shift cos. In the beginning it was great and watching the company grow was amazing. The salary and benefits are good. Development opportunities

Cons

They offer the world and produce a pea. I fear the company that I once loved has turned into a machine that has lost touch with its employees. The employees are treated as a number and not as a person. A people team that has no people skills and apparently a very basic outlook on HR/employment law that are reliant on people not having a basic understanding of their rights or fighting back. A definite difference in culture and treatment between those on the shop floor and those that are office based.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and experiences with us. We truly appreciate your candid feedback, as it helps us understand how we can improve and create a positive working environment for all our squad members. We're glad to hear that you enjoyed your time at Butternut Box, particularly highlighting the camaraderie among the shop floor teams and the growth of the company. Your acknowledgment of the competitive salary, benefits, and development opportunities is also encouraging. However, we are truly sorry to hear about your concerns regarding the company's shift in culture and the perceived disconnect between the office and shop floor teams. Your feedback is invaluable, and we want to assure you that we take it seriously. We believe in fostering an environment where every team member feels valued, respected, and heard. We are aware of a weekly forum in existence to make sure we get shift advocates to consistently provide feedback and suggestions directly to the leadership team, functional experts, and people team, as well as an engagement survey twice a year that is anonymous. If you do have any more specific feedback, then please do contact one of the People Team leadership on site so we can make some amendments, as we do want to overcome the situation you have had. We want all our squad members, including those at Rudies Kitchen, to feel comfortable expressing their opinions and contributing to making Butternut Box a Great Place to work. We understand the importance of having a people team with strong interpersonal skills, and we are committed to enhancing our HR practices to ensure a positive employee experience for everyone. Thank you once again for your valuable input. Feel free to email the people directly if you wish to discuss it further.
