      Great place to work, especially if you love dogs 🐶

      Pros

      Butternut Box is the best place I've worked. I've learnt a lot over my tenure so far and had a lot of fun along the way. The business provides learning opportunities for team members and encourages us to live and breathe the business values every day. The squad is full of kind, intelligent and honest people who are full of positive energy... it's infectious and it's never a dull day in the office! Every day is different and priorities rapidly change due to scaling up into Europe, therefore you need to be ready to get stuck in. There is also a high level of trust amongst the senior leadership team and I haven't experienced micromanagement, I'm just trusted to get on with my job. As a huge dog lover I feel that I'm contributing to a bigger purpose and am grateful to have an opportunity to play a part.

      Cons

      The team is very high performing, so be ready to be on your toes. It's not a company where you can sit back and coast... everyone's role is important to the growth of the business. There is also a really open feedback culture that might not be for everyone (expect to receive constant feedback, even when you don't ask for it).

      Culture. Working hours. Support. Opportunities...and the founders. Whatever they say, it's always happened.

      Cons

      Hardly any...but too much emphasis on surveys that aren't needed.

      Pros

      Good ethos - we love dogs! Engagement events are excellent. Decent wage plus perks. Long hours but ultimately we only only work half the days out of a month. Enhanced parental leave

      Cons

      DEI is developing and the company is working hard at it. As a disabled employee, I haven't had the support I've needed, but this is changing slowly. Inflexible working hours for parents and carers / PT hours. It's a growing company so things change quickly!
