Pros

Strong leadership throughout Byline Bank. One of the fastest growing mid-size banks, leveraging employee expertise and communications. Overall, business units are well synergized and committed to the bank's health. Despite mixed reviews, there are promotional opportunities available, you just have to own your career and share your ambitions with your manager. Post pandemic, Bank still enables employees to work remotely as leadership cross-trained how to effectively lead remotely. Leadership also places a premium on work/life balance with generous PTO and flexibility. I've transitioned between jobs throughout my career, Byline Bank is one of the top organizations to work for. Highly regarded and recommended as a place for employment.

Cons

Like every organization, there are a select few managers who exhibit very fixed mindsets, which results in unintended consequences for different business units and customer experience. To mitigate, leadership recognizes the opportunity to re-engage those managers into leadership training and help transition them to a more growth mindset. Another concern is the volume of Retail personnel turnover at the branch level, which impacts branch trainings and customer experiences.
