Pros

The schedule is already made, and you don't have to do any marketing to get students. All of that is handled by the center.

Cons

You get paid far less to tutor anywhere between 1-4 kids at a time than you would if you were tutoring privately one-to-one.

Pros

My manager, Sunny, was really flexible with my working hours while I was doing my med school interviews. Also, the students there were a blast. I've done tutoring gigs before at places like Kaplan, and never before have I had students come back to thank me after getting accepted to college. C2 really helped a lot of students get into their dream school, and I'm a huge believer in their program after my tenure there.

Cons

It's a wonderful transition job for 9-12 months, but career opportunities beyond basic tutoring are limited. I had some initial grumblings about my hours, but since it's hourly you can't really do anything about it until you are assigned your load of students.

-Great, motivated students -Depending on location, management is fair and very supportive -Training is consolidated and run very efficiently -Huge amount of resources and curriculum for students

Cons

-Student to teacher to ratio is too high -At times, workload can be overwhelming -Preparation is very minimal due to short notice and little detail for what students want to review. -Promotion and growth is ambiguous. No concrete structure for potential raises.
