Pros

Paid overtime, travel, week off at christmas, great collegues to work with, worldwide company

Cons

No more xmas party for employees but VPs still get a bmw and reserved parking. Lots of bureaucracy, low raises, needless reorgs and layoffs, cost cutting (no more 5 year gifts), no training so people behind on technology

Pros

- If you plan on working at CAE, you better be prepared to travel - which, if you're not in charge of people, is a good thing. You will get to explore some amazing countries during your downtime! - When the final products start taking shape, it really is gratifying to see - the devices are pretty cool.

Cons

- This is no longer a company on the leading edge: they are slow to adapt new technologies and are always playing catch-up. Don't expect to be working on the latest and greatest platforms. - On-the-job training: better get used to it, because there is essentially no training or helping hands provided. Choose your cliché: Sink or Swim, Baptism by Fire... - The downside to travel: you'll need to leave at the last-minute, and you could be in the field for weeks on end, doing 60, 70, and 80 hours a week - burnout is a distinct possibility. - Constant re-orgs - Twice-yearly rounds of layoffs offer no stability - Management is often the problem: too much management, and all of them looking to advance to their next position.
