Pros
Friendly co-workers, little downtime (if you're decent at doing your job), flexible work hours. Management was also quick to reward outstanding performance.
Cons
Management started their careers in the software development industry in the late 80s. Any software architecture decisions had to be approved by them. The problem was that they hadn't updated their skill-set since they started and were terribly out of date in their opinions and unwilling to budge. Certain groups were also very clique-y.
