Pros

The culture and the people are fantastic. Work/life balance is great. Expectations are clear. Hourly pay allows for overtime, but overtime is discouraged. Benefits are great. Time off is generous and grows with experience. Pay is competitive (not great) for level 1 devs. Stable Job. They really take care of their people in economic downturns. Can learn a lot early in your career. Nice pod/office spaces. Its not a cramped cubicle farm.

Cons

The pay is not competitive once you get to about 5 years in as an developer II. Its too hard to advance your career. Its too slow. So your pay increases are not enough to keep up with the market. They hire nationally, but they pay locally (theres not enough comps locally for this, but that's never stopped them), so by 5 years, your value as a developer (what you can get elsewhere) far outways what you get paid. Pay is in no way tied to inflation or cost of living. No matter what anybody says. The company will never grow. So there will never be more middle and upper management spots available, you have to wait for someone to leave to get an opportunity to grow into a higher role. Learning opportunities ultimately dwindle because the tech stack is fairly static.
