Pros

My manager was very chilled out.

Cons

The company is slow in implementing vital changes. You are expected to adjust daily. For instance, the call transfer software is almost useless, but despite multiple complaints, it was not changed. I couldn't bear the slowness anymore, so I quit.

Pros

Most co-workers here are nice, and management offers decent training.

Cons

The company offers commissions but they are too low to even be worth it. Most employees work so hard yet they don't receive enough compensation. In addition, most of us are overworked despite the not-so-good pay.

Pros

You will find co-workers are easy to get along with. No drama, just work.

Cons

Most employees feel unappreciated for the hard work, and overtime we do for the company. There is not a lot of recognition and incentives given. Your bosses don't even know you and they are unapproachable. Whenever there is a problem with work, you can only ask your "seat mate" because even your immediate supervisor is not very approachable as well.

Thank you for sharing your experience as a Vehicle Protection Plan Specialist at CARCHEX. Feedback from current and former employees is always appreciated and helps us get even better. It’s incredibly disheartening to hear that you didn’t feel like you were appreciated. We appreciate and value every person on the CARCHEX team. However, it sounds like we missed the mark with you. We take feedback from current and former employees seriously and use it to get better. For example, we recently introduced a monthly Recognition program that formally recognizes and rewards employees who have done something that makes them stand out. We are surprised you felt your supervisor was unapproachable. We understand that sometimes there is a disconnect between a particular supervisor and team member and we are always willing to move team members to another team. Had we known you had this issue, we certainly would have moved you to another supervisor. Our approach to communication is much different than other companies. Our management team offices/workstations are located amidst the operating departments and their doors are literally open welcoming feedback from CARCHEX team members. This structure is in place so that one of your “seat mates” would be your immediate supervisor. As a result of our management team being hands on, all levels of CARCHEX team members interact with our management team every day. In fact, many of the improvements we have made over the years have been initiated by a CARCHEX Team member talking with a member of our management team (including the CEO). We try to utilize brief team meetings, email, our HR portal, texting and informal manager interactions to keep our CARCHEX team well-informed without interfering with their ability to maximize their earnings. However, all team members are encouraged from day 1 to reach out to anyone they feel comfortable with about any issues they are experiencing. Our team members are the single most important asset we have at CARCHEX and while we aren’t perfect (yet), we take great strides to provide a rewarding career opportunity to every team member. Like all other companies, the only way we can address when a team member doesn’t feel like we have lived up to this, is to receive timely feedback. Apparently, you didn’t feel like you had an avenue to address your concerns and that is something we will be sure to reinforce with our Team.
