Pros

The cars, benefits, and maybe you’ll meet a genuine person.

Cons

Absolutely no one knows what they are doing. The only consistent thing about that place is it’s toxicity. Some people get trained, some people don’t. Even if you did get trained they will change what you are supposed to do without warning. Some people say you’re allowed a five minute grace period to clock in, others are told you can’t be a minute late without a half or full point being taken. They make it sound like overtime is a temporary thing when it’s not. You will be working 6:00am-5:00pm Monday- Saturday. Sometimes you can have lunch at 11:00am and sometimes it’s at 12:00 which they don’t tell you until the last minute. There is verbal abuse, lots and lots of yelling at you and telling you that you did a garbage job (that’s just leaving out the profanity) with the mere two minutes they actually give you to clean when it’s suppose to be six. There is so much rushing that you can’t take a few seconds to safely move stuff out of the way or adjust your seat before you drive without being yelled at to hurry up which causes a lot of mistakes. With each mistake you make, you will get closer and closer to being essentially shunned/picked on until you quit. They absolutely talk badly about you behind your back and keep an eye on you to see how you handle their games. I personally felt plotted against. Some people are allowed to wear pajamas and crop tops while others aren’t. Some people are allowed fans while others are not. I would get vehicles with soaked interiors more than I didn’t which did explain why in most of the vehicles, I could smell mildew and saw a lot of rust. If you know how to play their slimy corporate politics, you’ll go far and be a favorite. But if not, you probably won’t last but a few weeks or a month tops.

Pros

Not many that I can think of other than being outside in the summer and independent.

Cons

You will work 12 hour days usually starting at 4:30am and you only get paid for miles. Once you leave the yard you start making money, but it takes 2 hours to load cars in the morning and 1 hour to unload unless you are running. Carvana states that you get extra miles for loading and unloading but the extra miles at .60 per mile only work out to about 10.00 per hour. Basically minimum wage for 3 hours a day. You'll have to work through the winter outside when its -40 with wind blowing and 20 semis in the ditch on your route from black ice so keep that in mind. Management only cares about you leaving on-time and thats about it..a deaf ear to any other constructive thoughts. Cameras watching every move and you get dinged all the time which will effect your quarterly "safety" bonus.
